Episode VII isn't hard to deal with! Just remember that Lucas has had his fun milking us for money from the toys and now its Disney's turn! So, they remake Episode IV (almost exactly, but using find/replace to change all names in the original script) and Episode VIII and IX will follow that pattern. Rogue One and the other spin offs might actually be original work, though... for a given value of "original".

Spot on! I just wanted to add the following - considering that JJ Abrams was and could well be the director for parts VIII and IX, a "crossover" (SW & ST) might be the next thing to expect from Disney  - "May the force be with you Mr. Spock" - "Live long and prosper Master Luke". Disney is doing everything to turn a saga into a soap opera. Not that GL wasn't well on the same path but Disney is doing it, quite honestly, revoltingly cheap!
